HOW IT WORKS
Our coatings exists of a mixture of monomers, oligomers and photo initiators. Once a coating is applied it is exposed to UV light causing this mixture to polymerise. Depending on the composition specific properties can be achieved like adhesion, optical transparency, shrinkage, mechanical strength, refractive index and flexibility.
The total curing process is finalised in an instant that is why this very suitable for fast replication.
Imprinting (or embossing) is a patterning technology that is used for the replication of micro- and nanotextures into a thin UV-curable lacquer; A pattern is created on the surface of a substrate. When the wet coating is applied to the substrate, a structure is pressed in the liquid. Then UV light is applied to cure the coating. After separation of the mold a structure remains in the coating.
